This past Saturday was quite a nice one from my perspective. I was driving behind a Raptor when a Bentley Continental convertible drove past. After following it for a bit, there was a VW Thing coming the other way.

Neat! And I saw not one, not two, but three Maseratis (only one of which was a Quattroporte) that day as well as a Ferrari F430 Scuderia. Yeah, not a bad day.

Just your average really eclectic mix of cars, SUV's and pickups. Probably more pickups and SUV's than in the nether regions of America. The city I live in has a couple of Maseratri Gran Tourismos that come out and play during the spring, summer, and early fall, though. God, do they sound good. A guy in my neighborhood used to race older Porsches. He has a big car transport trailer (fully enclosed), two identical 944's in red, and a 993 Turbo! I've seen a 3rd gen Viper convertible hiding in a garage as I rode my bike at one time. Once in a while you'll see a 911 or something. Saw an Audi R8 in black parked on the side of the street at the end of the summer just across the river in Wisconsin.

Hummer H1s, Audi R8s, Lamborghini Gallardos and Ferrari F430s are common fare around SoCal.

Once on PCH I saw no less than 5 Audi R8s in the same day within 15 minutes of each other. But that was near the Ferrari dealer in the very expensive part of Orange County.

If you're in SoCal and want to go car spotting, Laguna Beach in early summer on a weekend. Supercars. Supercars everywhere.

Saturday was interesting car day for me too! Not as expensive as your Saturday, but I spotted a W8 Passat wagon, a first gen VW R32, and a clean Volvo 740 chasing it.

I've been to SoCal pretty frequently over the years to visit family. There's always something good to see. I was able to drive next to an F40 on the highway for a bit the last time I was there.
